On Thursday 29th November the PTA held a Christmas Fayre in the school hall. The day started with entries being submitted for The Best Christmas Cake competition judged by the school kitchen staff. The Fayre commenced at 2.30pm and many stalls were available to purchase various christmas items, treats and refreshments. Also a raffle was held, guess the number of buttons on the apron and a visit from Santa in his Grotto. Many thanks to all that attended and helped raise money for the school and a BIG congratulations to all the winners in the competitions. The afternoon proved to be a very popular, fun event.
Our super PTA team successfully held our Hill View Summer Fete on Saturday 14th July. The sunshine eventually made an appearance and helped bring in the crowds. There were many stalls and performances from dancers, musicians and even olympic torch carrier Dave Earl. Please go to the PTA’s page to see more photos. Thank you to all those who helped on the day and also a big thank you to those who came and supported the event.
On Friday 1st of June the whole school celebrated the Queens Jubilee. The day started with two fantastic assemblies from C3 and B3 and then continued with celebrations outdoors on the field. Children completed an orienteering course, a 1960’s disco, french skipping with elastic and quizzes to name some of the activities. We all had our picnic lunch on the field and joined together for a toast of squash to the Queen before continuing our celebrations.
We hope that you all enjoy the Jubilee bank holiday and that the sunshine makes an appearance.
After the success of our Dad’s Evening and at the request of the Mummy’s, we recently held our first Yummy Mummy evening. The jacket potatoes and cup cakes were also very popular with both children and mums!. We also had a raffle; the winning tickets went home with chocolates, wine, cushions and sweets. We have already begun to plan our next family event for later in the summer term. So watch this space for further details!!!!
We had a great day on Sports Relief. The whole school successfully completed a Sport Relief Mile around the local community and raised money for charity. In total we raised £394.72!!!!!
