Sporting Endeavours By Hill View Staff And Parents
We are always proud to highlight the success of our pupils at Hill View but we are also pleased to recognise some recent successes by our staff and parents.
Congratulations to Mrs West for her amazing achievement in recently completing the London Marathon in an excellent time of four hours thirteen minutes. She has also raised £2,520 for the charity Stickler Syndrome UK.
A mountainous effort was made by Mrs Mayfield from Key Stage One with her recent ascent of Mount Snowdon in Wales. She made the ascent up the tough Pyg Trail and then down the Llanberis Pass.
Dancing success for Mrs.Cronin who competed in Strictly Banbury scooping a third, second, two first places and the people’s choice award in addition to helping raise almost £12,000 for three charities. Mrs Cronin has also recently qualified as an Athletics official at Banbury Harriers.
Congratulations to staff members Mrs Dee, Mrs Morgan, Mrs McHale, Mrs Baughan, Mrs Paynton and Beth and Lauren former Hill View students who took part in the Lets Walk in the Dark 10k sponsored walk on the evening of Saturday 13th May for the Lets Play project in Banbury. The Let’s Play Project specialises in the provision of play and leisure opportunities for disabled young people age 5 – 25 years old. They completed the walk in 1hr 50mins and as a team raised £128 for the charity.
It is important for us to highlight to the children that a healthy active lifestyle is not just about school time but also about taking an active part in the wider community now and throughout their lifetime.
