Residential trips
We currently run two residential visits at Hill View Primary School. Letters are sent out in January for children to enrol for trips.
The children visit Hooke Court in Dorset, a residential centre that caters for a wide range of educational and physical activities. During the visit the children participate in:
- Low Ropes Challenge Course
- Orienteering
- Night line
- A Murder Mystery
- Tribal Kingdom Day
- Wide Games
- Rocket building
All the activities are designed to encourage both teamwork and work on independence skills. The centre is located in a beautiful setting deep in the heart of Dorset. All meals are home cooked and follow our own healthy eating philosophy.
Children also have the opportunity to visit Stone Farm in Devon, a farm where they get the opportunity to care and look after many of the animals including rabbits, chickens and a barn owl!!
Over the four days the children experience the following:
- A visit to the Eden Project
- A day at Tree Surfers
- Singing around a campfire
- A talent show
- Many different farm jobs and responsibilities
This visit is a great opportunity for the children to begin to celebrate their last year together at the school.
Please note our residential visits are dependent on both booking availabllity and us obtaining a minimum number of bookings in order to make the visits finacially viable.
