The School Day

School Hours:

Gates open at 8.30am & 3.00pm

Nursery:

Morning session - 8:30 - 11:30 am

Afternoon session - 12:15 - 3:15pm

Reception:-

Morning session - 8.40am-11.30am

Lunchtime session - 11.30 - 1pm - Children will either have a hot school meal from the school kitchen or bring a packed lunch from home

Afternoon session - 1pm - 3.00pm

Year 1, 3 & 5:-

Morning session - 8.40am-12.00pm

Lunchtime session - 12pm - 1pm - Children will either have a hot school meal from the school kitchen or bring a packed lunch from home

Afternoon session - 1pm - 3.05pm

Year 2, 4 & 6:-

Morning session - 8.40am-12.10pm

Lunchtime session - 12.10pm - 1.10pm - Children will either have a hot school meal from the school kitchen or bring a packed lunch from home

Afternoon session - 1.10pm - 3.05pm

Punctuality

It is essential that children are punctual each morning as their classes and activities begin immediately after registration. It is also essential that children are collected promptly at hometime.  Please click here to view the school procedure for when children are collected late at hometime

Attendance

Our attendance target this term is 95%.

Absence

Every day your child is absent from school they miss five hours of high-quality education. Any absence has a significant impact on the progress a child makes. 

If your child is ill and will not be attending school, please phone before 9.05am. Please phone 01295 251205 and leave a message on our absence line or email absence@hillviiew-school.co.uk.

Arrivals after 8.40am will be marked as late, arrivals after 9.05am will be marked as unauothorised absence.
