Welcome to our first PTA newsletter!
Hill View have a newly formed PTA (Parent Teacher Association) that has begun actively working to support the school and pupils. Our PTA has a number of reasons to exist; it's about having a closer link between the school and the parents and to help fundraise and support the school. It is also a group of parents who have become friends, linking together to create fundraising ideas and events throughout the year and to also meet other parents.

What’s been happening so far:
Hill View saw Father Christmas visit the school last December. The children could not contain their excitement to see Santa in his grotto with his helpers from the North Pole.
Over 100 little faces lit up when they got to see him and receive a presents as all the children were so well behaved, we believe Santa would like to come back next year.
A thank you again to all who made it possible including pupils, staff, parents and the PTA.
We also organised and supported the annual Easter disco.
The school and PTA were delighted with the energy and excitement shown by the pupils who danced the afternoon away, and even learnt that ‘Flossing’ has a whole new meaning! The disco raised £753.16 which is an amazing result.
We are hoping to organise more discos this year so watch this space.
There was also our Easter quiz for parents and carers which was greatly received by email. This was fantastic fun and brilliantly made by one of our PTA parents.
SAVE THE DATE!!
June 9th As many of you are aware, there is a Facebook group to help celebrate 50 years of the school being open. Ex pupils will have their chance to re-visit their primary school and reunite with old friends. Click here to see Reunion Flyer.
July 15th 50th Anniversary summer fete, ‘think village fayre’. There will be cake competitions, stalls, wellies, games, stocks and loads of exciting activities for children and grown-ups including an inflatable obstacle course. Click here to see Summer Fair Flyer
A lot of preparation and organising is already underway so we are all already looking forward to the day and will be sharing more details closer to the time.
How you can get involved
There will be events in the future where support would be gladly received from other parents and carers. Without the help of others not all events can take place. It may not be something in the school itself, but just a small job to aid the PTA at home like the preparing of tickets, cake baking etc. If you have any ideas for future fundraising and events please do not hesitate to contact us. Either grab us on the school run, or send us an email at email@example.com
Please spread the word.
