Principles for the Funding

The Senior Leadership Team, alongside our dedicated Sports Leaders and Governing Body, has planned for the use of funding in response to feedback from parents, pupils and staff with an aim to improve the quality of PE & Sport, raise attainment and, improve the fitness and well-being of the school community.

Mission Statement

At Hill View School we deliver a high quality PE curriculum to inspire and engage all pupils. We promote self-belief, enjoyment in participation, achievement and excellence in physical education and competitive sport. Our pupils experience a wide variety of sporting opportunities and learn how to develop a lifelong healthy and active lifestyle.

Aims

  • To deliver two hours of quality PE each week to every pupil
  • For pupils to be physically confident and achieve their potential
  • For every pupil to undertake periods of sustained physical activity within lessons
  • To offer a broad range of PE and sport
  • To provide opportunities to participate in competitive sport within school, in between local schools and at county level (Level 1,2 and 3)
  • To increase physical activity across the curriculum and school day
